On February 20, 2013 at approximately 2:30 AM, San Luis Obispo Police Officer Greg Benson conducted a traffic stop on a silver Ford F-150 pick-up in the 1200 Block of Chorro. As the vehicle came to a stop the female passenger, later identified as Hattie Davis, jumped out of the passenger door and attempted to flee from officers. Davis was detained after a short foot chase. The driver of the truck was identified as Aaron Kirby. Kirby is currently on probation for possession of stolen property and weapons violations. During a search of Kirby’s vehicle officers discovered several items of property which were believed to be stolen from recent residential burglaries. Officers also discovered drug paraphernalia during the initial search.
Kirby was arrested for possession of stolen property and drug related charges, and Davis was arrested for outstanding warrants.
