INCIDENT: TWO JUVENILES ARRESTED FOR STEALING FROM VEHICLES
LOCATION: 800 BLOCK OF BODEGA AVENUE
SUSPECTS: 16 AND 17 YEAR OLD, MALE JUVENILES
SUMMARY: On the above date and time property crimes detectives arrested the juveniles for theft from vehicles, use of ATM card without consent, possession of stolen property and committing thefts with previous theft convictions. The two juveniles ran away from a residential group home on Kuck Lane in Petaluma. The juveniles then searched for vehicles that were left unlocked. They entered two unlocked vehicles on Bodega Avenue and took CDs, an iPOD, wallet, cash and other small items. The suspects then attempted to use a stolen ATM card in Petaluma. They used some of the cash to take a taxi ride to San Francisco where they purchased food and narcotics. The runaways were caught by BART police officers and returned to Petaluma. Detectives interviewed the juveniles when they returned and they admitted to the thefts. Both juveniles were transported to Juvenile Hall.
