INCIDENT: DUI TRAFFIC COLLISION
LOCATION: PETALUMA BLVD SOUTH AT CRYSTAL LANE
SUSPECT VEHICLE: KIA COMPACT
SUSPECT: KEVIN WILLIAMS, 22 YEARS OLD, RESIDENT OF CORONA, CA.
SUMMARY: On the above date and time, Williams was driving north bound on Petaluma Blvd South approaching the roundabout at Crystal Lane. Williams failed to slow down prior to entering the roundabout causing him strike a curb, collide with a traffic sign, drive over a median, and finally come to rest in the center of the roundabout. Williams speed was estimated to be in excess of 50 MPH while the recommended speed for the roundabout is 15 MPH. Williams and a passenger in the vehicle were both uninjured.
Preliminary alcohol tests showed Williams was over the legal limit. The legal limit in California for alcohol is .08% BAC. Williams was arrested at the scene for driving under the influence of alcohol.
