Two Injured in Traffic Crash

Sheriff Joseph Underwood Jr. reports that deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a personal injury traffic crash at the intersection of Decatur Road and Dutch Settlement Road on 2-16-13 at 10:40am. The crash investigation found that an east bound vehicle driven by Mussio Mussi (54 yrs. of St. Joseph, MI) had slid into the intersection without stopping for a Stop Sign. Mussio's vehicle was then struck by a south bound vehicle, driven by Alex Voss (17 yrs. of Lawton, MI). Injured in the crash were Mussio's passenger's Fernanda Prado (25 yrs. of St. Joseph, MI) and Rafael Prado (32 yrs. of St. Joseph, MI). They were transported to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment for their injuries. Mussio, Voss and Voss' passenger, Devinn Milligan (18 yrs of Vandalia, MI) were not injured. Seatbelts were worn by all persons involved and alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Assisting on scene were Penn Township Fire Department and Pride Care Ambulance. The crash is still under investigation.
