Town of Poughkeepsie residents are reminded of several snow related town ordinances currently in effect.

Town Ordinance 174-2, reminds the owner or occupant of homes to remove snow and ice from sidewalks within four hours after any snowfall occurring between 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. or within six hours thereafter.

Town Ordinance 174-5, reminds the owner or occupant to remove snow from around a fire hydrant for a distance of two feet and between the sidewalk or the curb to keep the fire hydrant free from snow throughout the winter.

Town Ordinance 195-30a, prohibits vehicles from being parked on any street, road or highway in the Town of Poughkeepsie or a parking lot maintained by the town, between the hours of 12:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. from November 1st - April 1st.
