Board of Selectman declare a “Snow Emergency” starting at 3:00pm on Friday February 8, 2013.

In accordance with the Snow Emergency Ordinance for the Town of Kensington, New Hampshire the Board of Selectman is declaring a “Snow Emergency” starting at :300pm Friday February 8, 2013 until 6:00pm Saturday February 9, 2013.

This is a reminder that during a “Snow Emergency” vehicles left or parked in the right of way will be towed at the owner’s expense. The Board would also ask for cooperation with plowing your driveways. Residents should not plow snow into or across town or state roads this is a violation of Town ordinance and may create unsafe conditions on roads.

If you have not done so please take precautions for the possibility to be without power and unable to travel for at least twenty four hours. The storm is predicted to produce strong winds that may bring down trees and utility wires along with drifting snow resulting in limited visibility. We ask you limit travel after 3:00pm to allow emergency and utility crews to perform their duties.
