Reminder--Training Session for Citizen Preparedness During a Disaster Tomorrow, January 23, 2013 at 7 PM in the Verona Community Center
In an effort to increase awareness of our citizenry concerning the impact of natural, man made, and technological disasters, The Verona, Cedar Grove, Essex Fells & North Caldwell Police Departments will again be hosting the Community College Citizen Preparedness Program (3CP2). The program will be held tomorrow, January 23, 2013 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Ave Verona, NJ.
The free, two-hour training session will focus on what to do in the event of a natural, man made or technological disaster. Police will teach about threat awareness and assessment; sheltering and evacuation; and recovery and resources. Participants will be better prepared to function for 72 hours during a disaster without first responder assistance by being able to access and share appropriate information and training.
