INCIDENT: DUI AND HIT AND RUN ARREST
LOCATION: 100 BLOCK OF D STREET AND 200 BLOCK OF BASSETT STREET
SUSPECT VEHICLE: 1995 VW PASSAT, SILVER
SUSPECTS: KEVIN M. ODEA, 56 YEAR OLD, PETALUMA RESIDENT
SUMMARY: At the above date and time, a witness called the police department reporting that he was following a vehicle that he thought had just been in a vehicle collision. The witness reported the suspect vehicle had what appeared to be fresh damage on it. The witness then located a parked Nissan truck on D Street that also appeared to have fresh vehicle damage. The witness then caught up with the suspect vehicle and observed the suspect vehicle strike a second parked vehicle on Bassett Street. The suspect vehicle struck a parked Ford Ranger. Both parked vehicles were unoccupied. Officers caught up to the vehicle on B Street at Fair Street and made traffic stop on the vehicle. Suspect Odea was the only occupant in the vehicle. An investigation determined Odea was driving under the influence of drugs. Odea was transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital and admitted for medical treatment.
