Over the past few months there have been two incidents where these same two suspects, deemed the “Cigarette Bandits,” have broken into businesses and stole large quantities of cigarettes. These suspects have hit locations in Norwalk and La Mirada areas.
Incidents:
Dates: Between 11/14/12 to 01/06/13
Locations: Gas stations, liquor stores and pharmacies
Loss: Several hundred cartons of cigarettes, various brands
Suspect Veh: Dark Gray 4 door Nissan Altima
Suspect #1: Male Hispanic, approx. 30-40 yrs. old, 5’07/150, wearing a beanie/black jacket
Suspect #2: Male Hispanic or White, approx. 45, 5’07/180, balding on top/moustache
Crime Summary: These two suspects have been captured on video surveillance at the above locations breaking the front glass door of the businesses and walking behind the counter and stealing several hundred cartons of cigarettes.
Within the Norwalk Sheriff’s jurisdiction, there have been several similar burglaries between November 14th and January 6, 2013 where these same two “Cigarette Bandits” are suspected of entering business and stealing large amount of cigarettes. They are believed to be local to the area and we are sure that someone will recognize them. The suspects may be responsible for several other burglaries in LA and Orange Counties where cigarettes were stolen. Please take a good look at the attached photos.
