Wednesday Morning January 16th, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Temple Station School Resource Deputy, assigned to South El Monte High School, contacted a 25 year old male who was seen jumping over fences and yelling at students engaged in physical education classes.
Upon investigating the subject, deputies detrmined the subject may have had mental health issues, and summoned additional resources.
The subject was evaluated by a team of evaluators from Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, and transported for evaluation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Mental Evaluation Team.
The subject was contacted and evaluated outside of the school campus and there was no immediate threat to students.
