The Ocean Township Police have investigated numerous residential burglaries that have occurred over the last several months in the areas between Monmouth Road and Norwood Avenue, north of Roosevelt Avenue. The burglaries are believed to have occurred during the daytime hours that involved forced entry via rear doorways. Police are reminding residents to ensure that windows, doors and other means of entry to the home are locked and secured at all times. Police are also asking residents to report suspicious activity as soon as it is observed rather than waiting to the end of the day or any length of time to report it. Anyone observing suspicious activity, persons or vehicles in their neighborhood should immediately notify the Ocean Township Police at 732-531-1800.
