INCIDENT: DUI AND CHILD ENDANGERMENT
LOCATION: WASHINGTON SQUARE SHOPPING CENTER
SUSPECT: THAD SUMMARY, 45 YEARS OLD, PETALUMA RESIDENT
SUMMARY: On the above listed date and time a Petaluma Police Department’s Community Service Officer observed a vehicle parked in the red zone in front of Safeway. When the community service officer attempted to contact the driver of the vehicle the driver fled the area. Officers responded to the area and located the driver of the above vehicle, Thad Summary. It was determined that Summary was DUI and subsequently arrested. The investigation revealed Summary had 2 small children in the car while he was driving and was charged with child endangerment. Neither child was injured as a result of today’s incident, and were released to their mother. Summary was transported to the county jail with a bail of $25,000.
