2 injured in crash

Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash that occurred on M-60 near Burn Lynd St in Howard Township Cass County Michigan. 24 yr old Niles resident, Nicholas Mathias, was heading Northeast when an oncomming vehicle, exiting a curve, crossed into his lane causing a head on collision. Mr. Mathias had to be extricated from his vehicle by the fire department. 25 yr old Niles resident, Michael Milewski, was operating the other vehicle. Both were treated at the scene however Mr. Mathais had to be transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital for further treatment. Seat belts were used and Alcohol was not a factor. This case remains under investigation.
