Attention Rutgers Community,
The Rutgers Police Department is investigating a robbery which was reported to have occurred on Wednesday December 12, 2012 at approximately 9:20 PM in the area of parking lot eight (44 College Ave.) New Brunswick, NJ.
The victim reported that while walking in the parking lot, a male suspect approached her from behind and removed personal property she was carrying. The victim stated that the assailant then ran from the parking lot towards College Ave. An eyewitness followed the suspect and confronted him in the area of Kirkpatrick Chapel located on the Old Queens Campus (81 Somerset St.). Following an altercation the assailant displayed a knife and then ran in the direction of Hamilton St.
The assailant is described as a white male, approximately 5’8” in height, weighing approximately 150 pounds, wearing tan pants, tan shirt, black shoes and having a black net skull cap over the top of his head
The Rutgers Police Department is actively investigating this incident and asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, to contact the Rutgers Police Department’s Detective Bureau at (732) 932-8025 or (732) 932-7211.

- Remaining alert and aware of the people and circumstances around you;
- Immediately report suspicious activity to local law enforcement;
