APD Alert Tue Dec 11 at approx 11 am, Amtrak will be blocking Rt 54 at RR Ave for approx 30 minutes. Officers will be directing traffic. 
On Tuesday, December 11, 2012, Amtrak and DRPT will be having a Whistle Stop Tour train that will stop at
the Ashland Station for a brief ceremony. This will block both the England Street and Henry Clay Road
crossings for 30 minutes. The train with approximately eight ceremonial cars will be blocking these crossings
for approximately 30 minutes beginning around 11:00 am. Ashland and State Police, as well as Town of
Ashland Public Works, will be directing traffic around this immediate area however if you need to travel through
this area during this time frame we recommend that you use an alternate route such as Ashcake Road to
traverse east or westbound through Ashland. Businesses in this area will still be accessible as police will direct
you to the nearest open roadway in which you can access the area.
Oversized vehicles, to include tractor trailers, should utilize the Ashcake Road crossing.
