Crime: PC 211 – Armed Robbery
Location: Chevron Gas – 5887 Monterey Road, Gilroy
Suspect: Unknown – Described as possible Hispanic Male Adult; approximately 20 – 25 years old, 5-03 tall and 150 pounds; wearing a dark colored mask and dark colored clothing.

Details:
On December 4, 2012 at approximately 0055 hours, Gilroy Police Officers were dispatched to a reported armed robbery at Chevron Gas. Within minutes, officers arrived at the scene and began a search for the suspect who had fled Chevron Gas on foot. Despite their efforts, officers were unable to locate the suspect.
During the preliminary investigation, officers determined that the suspect confronted and threatened the clerk with a handgun. The suspect demanded money and merchandise from the clerk. Fearing for their life, the clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and provided the suspect with an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise. The suspect fled from the business on foot, eastbound through the parking lot to neighboring businesses.
Shortly after the robbery, an early 2000’s Silver BMW or Honda 4- door type vehicle was seen leaving the area. The Gilroy Police Department is working to verify the vehicle’s potential involvement with the robbery.
The clerk was not injured during the robbery. The motive for the robbery remains under investigation.
