City Council public hearing on the Central Waterfront Redevelopment Plan is on 12/19/12 at 6:30 pm in Everett City Council Chambers

The City Council Public Hearing to consider and adopt a plan and regulations for the redevelopment of the approximately 92-acre Central Waterfront Planning Area, including the 65-acre Kimberly Clark property located at 2600 Federal Ave. and other properties in the vicinity, on the downtown waterfront is scheduled on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 6:30 pm in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 3002 Wetmore Avenue in Everett.

The proposal includes (1) adoption of an ordinance adopting the Central Waterfront Redevelopment Plan as a Subarea Plan of the Everett Growth Management Comprehensive Plan, and (2) adoption of an ordinance establishing zoning regulations for the Central Waterfront Planning Area. The plan includes a vision for the redevelopment of the former Kimberly-Clark mill site and other properties in the vicinity. The amendments to the zoning regulations prohibit certain uses, and include development and design standards.
