(Oklahoma City) November 14, 2012 an Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office deputy was driving along NW Expressway near MacArthur when he noticed a vehicle make an unsafe lane change. The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle but the suspect driving the vehicle, Louis Austin (d.o.b. 04/07/1986), refused to stop forcing the deputy to initiate a pursuit.

The pursuit lasted about 1 mile when Austin stopped at a motel located in the 6600 block of NW Expressway, Austin jumped out of the vehicle and ran. The passenger, James Hiett (d.o.b. 05/24/1966), stayed in the vehicle and was immediately taken into custody. Hiett will face a complaint of possession of a firearm after a felony conviction because deputies found a loaded handgun inside the vehicle.

Deputies determined that Austin had been staying at the motel. When deputies arrived to the motel room they arrested Sahlimar Plumley (d.o.b. 09/30/1987) she had outstanding Oklahoma City municipal warrants and will be booked on new complaints of harboring a fugitive, possession of drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies determined that there were drugs inside the motel room.

The driver, Louis Austin, was eventually found and he was taken into custody inside of the motel room. Deputies determined that Austin has several outstanding warrants including one related to an Oklahoma City Police Department investigation for accessory to murder in the 1st degree.

Austin will face new complaints of eluding an officer, possession of a firearm after felony conviction, transporting a loaded firearm, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with no insurance, and driving with a revoked drivers license.

Austin also has outstanding warrants in Pottawatomie County, and Lincoln County.
