The clean up from Hurricane Sandy is ongoing and is going to take several days. Crews from local, county and state Department of Public Works will continue to remove debris from roadways and sidewalks. At some point crews from JCP&L will begin power restoration.

Due to the widespread damage and the number of utility lines down, the Readington Township Office of Emergency Management in coordination with the Police Department and Public Officials have no other choice but to cancel Halloween activities, specifically trick-or treating. Currently most sidewalks, roadways and private yards are extremely hazardous and will not be safe for children by Wednesday afternoon & evening.
