SUMMARY: Petaluma PD officers were dispatched to Petaluma Valley Hospital for a possible child endangerment call for service. Officers contacted a 23 year old female, who was the girlfriend of Suspect Garcia. The female was brought to the hospital because she had ingested several marijuana brownies earlier in the day and became sick. Officers contacted Suspect Garcia in the ER Lobby with his three children. The mother of the children was the female in the ER. Suspect Garcia appeared to be intoxicated. Garcia told the officers that he and his girlfriend drove their children from Vallejo to Petaluma to visit the Pumpkin Patch on Stony Point Road. He said he and his girlfriend ate several marijuana brownies after they left Vallejo. The officer conducted a drug influence check on Garcia and determined he was under the influence of a controlled substance and arrested him for DUI. Garcia was also determined to be unlicensed. The three children were released to a family member, while their mother remained in the hospital. Garcia was transported to County Jail.
