LAS VEGAS DETECTIVES SEEK PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE LOCATING CASINO THEFT SUSPECT
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Tourist Crimes Unit is asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect in a high denomination chip theft from the Venetian Casino which occurred shortly after 6:00 a.m. on October 10, 2012.
The preliminary investigation into this crime indicates the suspect was able to gain access into a closed area of the casino from which he removed the chips of various values. There were no weapons involved in this crime, and no confrontation occurred between the suspect and others during this incident.
The suspect has been identified as 31 year-old Akingide Cole of Palmdale, California.
Cole is described as a light-skinned black male, standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing about 225 pounds. He is further described as having short dark hair worn in a semi-mohawk style and a dark goatee. Cole also has a large fibrous growth on his left earlobe. He was last seen wearing glasses, a grey jacket, black shirt with a green print tie and blue jeans.
