in Arrest and Impound
The Petaluma Police Department continues to monitor habitual DUI offenders through probation compliance checks and stakeouts. Today, at about 8:05am, Traffic Officer Paul Accornero conducted a stakeout of Dean Alan Dilello, age 27, from Rohnert Park. Dilello has three prior DUI convictions, is currently on probation for DUI, and his license is suspended for the same. Officer Accornero spotted Dilello’s vehicle and saw him driving on Petaluma Blvd South. He was stopped and arrested for driving on a suspended license. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
Impaired driving remains a serious traffic safety problem in Petaluma. Funding for traffic safety efforts used to combat DUI have been made possible by grant funding from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
