LOCATION: Estabrook St. at E 14th St., San Leandro, California

INVESTIGATING DETECTIVE: Det. Sgt. Calcagno

SUSPECT: Matthew Gonzalez, 29 year old, San Leandro resident

DETAILS:

On 10-07-12 approximately 12:54 PM, a San Leandro Police officer was driving her patrol vehicle equipped with license plate reading capabilities north bound E14th St. near Estabrook St. The plate reading system alerted her to a stolen vehicle described as a white GMC truck. The passenger of the vehicle was identified and released from the scene. The GMC truck was stolen out of Oakland and was taken during a carjacking where the suspect was armed with a handgun.
