On October 1st, 2012, at 8:56 pm, Oakland police officers responded to the 9000 block of Macarthur Blvd. to investigate a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they found an adult male Oakland resident who had been shot. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, but the victim succumbed to his injuries. A second victim, who sustained non-life threatening injuries, walked away from the crime scene and called police from a different location. This victim was identified as a female adult Oakland resident. The suspects responsible and motive for the shooting are not certain at this time.

At 10:20 pm, at 2020 MacArthur Blvd., officers located an unresponsive victim, an adult male, who later succumbed to gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.

This morning, October 2nd, at approximately 6:06 am, OPD communications received a 911 call regarding shots heard in the area of the 1600 block of 72nd Ave. Officers responded to the area and located two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
