suspicious incident

On 9-27-12, at about 3:30 PM, (4) 11 year-old, females were walking westbound in the 800 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena. As the females approached Orange Grove/Monterey Road, the females split up with two of the females walking northbound in the 1200 block of Orange Grove and the other two females (victims) continued to walk westbound on Monterey Road.

As the victims crossed the intersection of Monterey Road/Orange Grove, suspect drove by and pulled alongside them and the driver (suspect) gestured to the victims with his hand to come to him. The victims ignored the suspect, turned around and ran back towards Orange Grove and hid behind a bush. The victims then rejoined the other two female friends.

Suspect did not speak to the victims.

SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:

SEX: Male
RACE: White or Hispanic
WEIGHT: Heavy set
HEIGHT: Unknown
HAIR: Short cropped brown hair, balding
AGE: 40 years
CLOTHING: Blue Hawaiian Style shirt, no further details

SUSPECT VEHICLE: Navy blue, full-size SUV.
