Our community has seen a rise in automotive burglaries. There have been approximately 75 reported automotive burglaries that have occurred within the past month. There has not been any specific pattern, however the Manor area (southern part of town) has been recently targeted. Approximately a quarter of these burglaries have occurred between 5PM – 9PM.
We would like citizens to report suspicious activity in their neighborhoods. If you wait to report your observations it prevents us from sending out our staff to immediately respond to investigate the incidents.
Crime prevention tips-
• Leave your vehicles locked with the windows up
• Park your vehicles in well lit areas
• Hide all valuables out of site including navigation units
• Report all suspicious activity immediately
• Inform your neighbors of this message if they don’t follow nixle
These are ongoing investigations and there are Detectives assigned to these cases.
