On 09-18-12, approximately 12:50 PM, San Leandro Police officers responded to the 100 block of Doolittle Drive for the report of a Grand Theft. The reporting party told officers that during routine maintenance of their 63,000 square foot building, they discovered all of the copper to the air conditioning units had been stolen from the rooftop. The reporting party had no idea when the theft could have occurred.
Crime prevention tip- Make sure you limit access to copper and other valuable materials. Prevent suspects from accessing ladders or climbing trees to gain access to your rooftops. Don’t hesitate to report suspicious activity.
This is an ongoing investigation and there are Detectives assigned to the case.
