A wind advisory is in effect until 6 am with wind gusts up to 50 mph. Watch for downed tree limbs and power outages.

A wind advisory remains in effect until 6 am with wind gusts up to 50 mph.

A strong cold front will pass through the region tonight with southerly winds that will strengthen ahead of the front this evening and into the overnight hours. The highest wind gusts will be along the coast and in higher terrain and exposed hilltops. in these areas winds may gust up to 50 mph tonight. winds will subside behind the front by morning.

Watch for downed tree limbs and power outages are possible especially in areas along the coast and in exposed hilltops.

A wind advisory means strong wind gusts of 46 to 57 mph can lead to damage due to downed tree limbs and scattered power outages. Please do not approach downed wires, contact the Belmont Fire Department if you find any.
