Sheriff’s Office Activity

-FM 300 at FM 303: Disabled Vehicle.

-Hwy 385 at Equalizer Rd: Suspicious Activity.

-2000 blk Oil Well Rd: Assault (Felony). Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the area in reference to a female subject that was possibly struck by a vehicle. EMS had been dispatched as well. Deputies were advised that a male subject had fled the area. While on scene it was determined the male subject was suspected of multiple family violence offenses, including felony assaults. The subject was later located with the assistance of Cochran County Sheriff’s Deputies in the area of Topeka Rd and India Rd in Hockley County. Following an investigation into the incident, he was placed under arrest for Assault Cause Bodily Injury, Impeding Breathing/Circulation. A female subject was treated and released at a local hospital for multiple injuries. Additional offenses are still under investigation.

-6500 blk Wolf Rd, Ropesville: Domestic Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance involving an intoxicated individual. No offenses were reported to deputies and parties were separated. A report was taken related to the incident.

Deputies also conducted close patrols at area businesses and residences, traffic enforcement and criminal interdiction activities.
