Residents of East Jackson that are in the Evacuation Advisory area received a door hangar that advised them to shut off natural gas if there is an evacuation. Be advised that this is a misprint and residents SHOULD NOT turn off natural gas in the event they evacuate.
Local utility companies and emergency responders will shut off utilities as needed in the event of evacuation.
