Homicides – Between 8/26-9/1, there were no homicides. In 2012 YTD, there have been 20 homicides. In 2011 YTD, there were 18 homicides.
Rape – Between 8/26-9/1, there were no reported rapes. In 2012 YTD, there have been 22 reported rapes. In 2011 YTD, there were 40 reported rapes.
Robberies – Between 8/26-9/1, there were 5 reported robberies. There were two armed robberies & three strong-arm robberies. One of the strong-arm robberies was an attempt chain snatch. All but one incident occurred between 1400-1900 hrs. In 2012 YTD, total robberies are up approx. 2% from 2011.

Aggravated Assaults – Between 8/26-9/1, there were 10 reported incidents of aggravated assault. Those incidents include five incidents of domestic violence. During this period, there were two ADW-Gun incidents (1 gang-related shooting). In 2012 YTD, aggravated assaults are down approx. 5% from 2011.
Residential Burglary – Between 8/26-9/1, there were 6 reported residential burglaries. Five incidents occurred between 1200-1700 hrs. In 2012 YTD, residential burglaries are down approx. 26% from 2011.
Comm/Other Structure Burglary – Between 8/26-9/1, there were four reported comm/other structure burglaries. Two incidents occurred in the EM hrs b/t 400-2000 block of E. Compton Bl. In 2012 YTD, there have been 113 reported incidents; down approx. 25% from 2011.
Grand Theft Auto – Between 8/26-9/1, there were 20 reported stolen vehicles. In District IV, there were six reported stolen vehicles during this time period. Half of the reported stolen vehicles during this time period were 90’s model Hondas. In 2012 YTD, GTAs are down approx. 9% from 2011.
Vehicle Burglary – Between 8/26-9/1, there were 3 reported vehicle burglaries. Two of reported incidents occurred in RD 2835 during this time period. In 2012 YTD, there have been 214 reported incidents; down approx. 38% from 2011.
