The Absecon Police Department is investigating a commercial burglary that occured at about 1210 Hrs. on 8/30/12. Patrols responded to a burglar alarm at the China Sea Restaurant which is located in the Absecon Marketplace Shopping Center at 636 White Horse pike. Patrols arrived within two minutes of the alarm and Upon arrival, they found that the glass front door had been smashed as well as another interior glass door. The suspect(s) entered the business through the broken glass w/o activating the door sensors. Once inside, the interior motion detectors were activated. The cash register was found on the floor with most of the cash missing. Approximatley $1,400.00 was stolen from the register and another area under the counter.
