See full message for an inside look at Bradenton Police Department at the Republican National Convention.

The Bradenton Police Department currently has a squad of eighteen (18) law enforcement officers assisting the Tampa Police Department at the 2012 Republican National Convention. Attached you will find a photograph of Bradenton Police Department Patrol Sergeant Curtis Johnson assisting a small child, which was brought to a protest march by her mother on August 28, 2012. The march spanned roughly twenty (20) to thirty (30)blocks through downtown Tampa at 4 p.m., while there was a 100+ degree heat index. Sergeant Johnson saw this little girl (see photo at right) crying because she was thirsty and he took the initiative to provide her a drink from his personal water source. Sergeant Johnson's actions reflect the compassion and professionalism of the officers that are representing the City of Bradenton.
## Story provided by Capt. W.T. Merriman, Bradenton Police Dept.
On a personal note from Sgt. Millard, BPD's Nixle administrator: Thank you, Sgt. Johnson, for your kindness to a child in need. You make us proud.
