ARRESTED: Brandon K. Sanborn 32 year old Benicia Resident

Benicia Police Officers had received information that (S) Brandon Sanborn was in possession of methamphetamine. Sanborn is currently on felony probation in Solano County for Domestic Violence with a search and seizure clause as one of the terms of his probation. Sanborn also has two active felony arrest warrants for Domestic Violence and Possessing a Controlled Substance. Upon the arrival of police at Sanborn’s residence, Sanborn was seen outside the apartment. The officers identified themselves and told him to stop, which he did not comply with. Upon seeing the police officers, he ran inside and shut the door to avoid arrest. Police entered the residence and he was arrested on the two Felony arrest warrants without further incident. During a search of the apartment per the conditions of Sanborn’s probation, a baggie containing 12 grams of marijuana and a baggie containing approximately 24 grams of crystal methamphetamine were recovered from inside the apartment along with two digital scales. Sanborn's two small children were found asleep on the couch a few feet from the front door. $494.00 was taken from Sanborn's person per Asset Forfeiture. The children were released to one of their grandparents. Sanborn was later transported and booked into the Solano County Jail in Fairfield. “Our Youth Services Detective is working with Child Protective Services on the children's behalf, and this investigation will continue. This is a great example of our officer’s taking immediate action with the information they received to remove a drug dealer from our community. This arrest will have a positive impact in our community and hopefully with our intervention, his children will no longer be exposed to this dangerous lifestyle.”
