Registered Sex Offender Compliance Information. 
On Friday morning, 8/17/2012, deputies from the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office, along with Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division, conducted compliance checks on sex offenders registered in Hockley County.
Deputies checked several criteria and found that all registered sex offenders that were contacted were found to be in compliance with requirements.
Deputies conduct random compliance checks on registered sex offenders throughout the year to ensure all registrants are abiding by the state requirements.
As a result of the random checks two registered sex offenders within Hockley County have been found to be out of compliance with requirements this year. Investigators filed criminal charges for felony offenses following investigations in both matters that included: Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon, and Failure to Comply with Registration Requirements.
