DETAILS:

On 08-14-12, approximately 2:40 AM, San Leandro Police Officers were dispatched to an armed robbery that had just occurred at Food Maxx, located at 699 Lewelling Blvd. The suspects entered the business and one of them pointed a handgun at one of the cashiers and demanded money. The store cooperated and gave the suspects money.

Officers arrived and observed a vehicle exiting the parking lot with its lights off. The vehicle was stopped to determine if it was involved in the robbery.

The occupants were identified as the suspects in the incident. The officers recovered a weapon and the loss from the robbery inside the vehicle. Three of the occupants (listed) were arrested for being involved in the robbery.

Lt. Randall Brandt said, “There was a second adult female inside the vehicle when it was stopped. She had her three year old son in the vehicle and we are pleased that this incident was resolved peacefully.”
