Lincoln Courts Shooter Arrested in Kentucky
Clinton Berry, 24, of Jackson, was arrested around 3 p.m. today in Paducah, Ky. by the ATF, U.S. Marshals and local law enforcement officers. He is being held in the McCracken County Jail in Paducah. He will be extradited back to Jackson as soon as possible to face charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon for Monday's shooting in Lincoln Courts.
RECAP:
On Monday at 2:45 p.m., Jackson police responded to a shooting in Lincoln Courts. A 17-year-old boy suffered a grazing gunshot wound to the head and a 37-year-old woman was shot in the leg. Both were treated and released from Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The investigation has shown that the shooting began near the 233 building. The boy was the intended target and the woman was in the direction of gunfire. Police identified Berry as the shooter.
