Victorville Police Department announces the 29th Annual 'National Night Out' Event on 8/7/12 from 6:00PM-8:00PM

You are invited to the 29th Annual National Night Out!

The Victorville Station has partnered with the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and Target Corporation to participate in the Biggest Crime Prevention Event of the Year!

Last year's National Night Out campaign involved citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. In all, over 37 million people participated in National Night Out!

On August 7th, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. the Victorville Police Department will be hosting the 29th Annual National Night Out (NNO), sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and Target Stores. National Night Out is a crime prevention program put on nationwide by law enforcement, incorporating the community Neighborhood Watch (NHW) groups and those interested in starting a Watch. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

The event will be a BBQ and we will have representatives from Target Stores, San Bernardino County Fire Department, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue, California Highway Patrol, Victorville Police Department, McGruff the Crime Dog, Home Depot, Kona Ice, Out of this World BBQ, Y-102 radio, Victorville Public Works, Victorville Parks and Recreation, Best Buy, American Red Cross, High Desert Business Builders, Allstate Insurance, Envision Foods (Jack in the Box), Devcon Security, as well as other businesses in the area providing various safety information, tips, and products. Please join us for a BBQ, shaved ice, games, face painting, and safety information as well as fun and fellowship with local residents in the community. The focus will be on strengthening our City, one neighborhood at a time.

Join us at Brentwood Park and celebrate what makes the High Desert a great place to live and work!
