Over the past week the Grapevine Police Department has experienced a spike in thefts of catalytic converters being cut and stolen from vehicles parked in public parking areas. The parts are very valuable and can be sold easily. The parts take some time to remove from vehicles and criminals must get underneath the vehicles to accomplish this theft.

Watch for suspicious persons and activity in public parking areas. Call the police whenever something appears to be out-of-the-ordinary or the situation makes you feel uncomfortable.
