Ipswich Beaches Closed

The beaches in Ipswich (Pavilion, Cranes, Steep Hill, Little Neck and Clark) are temporarily closed due to higher than normal coliform discharge from the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Currently there are no test results to indicate a public health risk but as a precaution the beaches will remain closed until sampling confirms there is no risk to the public.

Sampling is being conducted and results are expected on Friday, July 13, 2012.  Once sampling confirms there is no risk to the public, the beaches will be re-opened.
