CRIME/INCIDENT: 4th of July Daytime Events

DATE/TIME REPORTED: July 4, 2012 between 0700 and 1200 hrs

LOCATION: Downtown Pleasant Hill

BRIEF STATEMENT OF INCIDENT:

The City of Pleasant Hill will be celebrating the 4th of July with a 5K Fun Run and Parade. To accommodate these events, the Pleasant Hill Police Department will be making road closures, detours and lane changes in and around the Downtown area. Crescent Drive and Crescent Plaza will be closed to vehicular traffic. Vehicular traffic on Contra Costa Blvd between Woodsworth Ln and Boyd Rd will be detoured and the use of surrounding streets for vehicular traffic will be significantly restricted or prohibited. Drivers should expect traffic to be impacted by these actions and should expect lengthy traffic delays in and around the Downtown area. Road closures will begin at 0700 hrs. Traffic should return to normal by 1200 hrs (noon).


Streets impacted: Contra Costa Bl., Gregory Ln., S/B I-680 Gregory Ln. off, Crescent Dr., Monument Bl., Boyd Rd., Crescent Plz., Cleaveland Rd., Trelany Ln., Mozden Ln., Bud Ct., Zurich Ct., Treadway Ln., and Woodsworth Ln.
