The Dearborn Police Department reminds residents to keep their cars and houses locked with valuables stored out of sight, especially during the warm summer weather during the week of the Fourth of July holiday. We typically experience an increase in house and car burglaries and other crimes of opportunity during this time of the year and ask that neighbors watch out for each other and call the police to check out any suspicious people or activities at 313-943-3030. We also remind residents that the Dearborn Police Department is available to conduct vacation checks of residents' homes while they're away on vacation.
