DUI/DL CHECKPOINT RESULTS
Officers Arrest # Drivers for DUI
Petaluma, California – On Friday night, June 29, 2012, between the hours of 6pm and 2am Saturday morning, the Petaluma Police Department conducted two DUI and Driver’s License Checkpoints in the City of Petaluma. The first checkpoint was NB Sonoma Mountain Parkway at Castle Drive between 6pm and 9pm. The checkpoint recorded the following activity:
718 vehicles passed through the checkpoint
664 drivers were screened by officers for signs of DUI or license violations
28 drivers were sent into a secondary evaluation area for further investigation
7 drivers were arrested
1 drivers were arrested for DUI
1 drivers were arrested and cited for driving on a suspended license
4 drivers were arrested and cited for driving without a license
1 Vehicle was impounded for 30 days
The following drivers were arrested for DUI at the first checkpoint:
Michael Neal, 70 years old, from Petaluma
The second checkpoint was EB East Washington Street at Lakeville Street between 10pm and 2am. The checkpoint recorded the following activity:
216 vehicles passed through the checkpoint
211 drivers were screened by officers for signs of DUI or license violations
15 drivers were sent into a secondary evaluation area for further investigation
11 drivers were arrested
3 drivers were arrested for DUI
3 drivers were arrested and cited for driving on a suspended license
1 drivers were arrested and cited for driving without a license
0 drivers were arrested for possession illegal drugs
2 vehicles were impounded for 30 days
The following drivers were arrested for DUI at the second checkpoint:
Christina Archer, 28 years old, from Santa Rosa
Jenny Haveman, 29 years old, from Santa Rosa
Alison Tremolada, 27 years old, from San Rafael
During the first checkpoint on Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Officers identified a passenger in a white Mitsubishi as 27 year old Christopher Gale from Petaluma who was wanted for an assault with a deadly weapon from an incident which occurred on Thursday June 28, 2012 in Petaluma. Gale was removed from the car by officers and arrested without incident.
