WATER ADVISORY-Cease All nonessential water use until further notice due to waterplant failure. Boil drinking water.

New Jersey American Water is urging its customers in all Monmouth County municipalities except Howell to discontinue all nonessential water use and outdoor water use until further notice. New Jersey American Water has also issued a precautionary boil water advisory for those customers.

Please note that this is a standard procedure whenever water pressure is lost as a precaution.

A reverse 911and press release will go our shortly from NJAW informing customers of the situation. Monmouth County OEM is also using their Reverse
911 system. Our Reverse 911 message is as follows:

Due to an emergency situation at our water treatment plant in Tinton Falls, New Jersey American Water has issued a boil water advisory for your area until further notice.
Boil your tap water for at least one minute and let cool before consumption.
Please discontinue all nonessential and outdoor water use as New Jersey American Water works to restore normal water service.
