3 Suspects Arrested for Shooting at an Inhabited Dwelling (Photo Included)

On Monday, June 25, 2012, at approximately 9:12 AM, Compton Sheriff's Station deputies responded to 1600 block of Piru Street, Compton in regards to a shots fired call.

The deputies determined that a victim was inside the residence when four to five gunshots were heard. An older model vehicle was seen leaving the area, driven by a male Black adult.

Deputies located a vehicle matching the description on 131st Street and McKinley Avenue and initiated a vehicle pursuit which ended at 11900 Block of South Bellhaven Avenue in Los Angeles.

The driver abandoned the vehicle, while the other two suspects who remained inside were immediately apprehended.

The deputies recovered an assault rifle from the suspect’s vehicle, along with several expended 22 caliber casings (photo).

The third suspect ran into a nearby converted garage on East 119th Street in Los Angeles. He later surrendred to deputies.

All three suspects were later identified and arrested for several felony firearms and evading peace officers offenses.

No one was injured during the incident.

The three suspects were identified as:

Joseph Devin Blalark; male, 21-yrs old, Los Angeles

Theron Morris; male, 20-yrs-old, Los Angeles

Dushawn Johnson; male, 21-yrs old, Lancaster
