Smithville Police to move communications to Platte County Sheriff's Dept. 
Effective June 28th, at 7:00 am, the Smithville Police Department will be dispatched by the Platte County Sheriff’s Department. This move will allow the police department, the fire department and the ambulance to be dispatched from the same communications center. Anyone needing a police officer should call 816-858-3521.
