SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Black Male Adult, Approx. 25 years old, 5’5” tall, weighing about 150 lbs., and wearing dark clothing
DETAILS:
About 1:20 AM, Officers responded to the report of a Robbery that occurred in front of Roosevelt School located at 951 Dowling Blvd. Officers arrived and contacted the 60 year old female victim and she provided the following information.
About 12:55 AM, the victim was walking through the Roosevelt School property. The suspect approached the victim and attempted to engage her in a conversation. The victim told the suspect she was not interested in talking and the suspect threatened he had a weapon. The suspect pushed the victim down and inappropriately touched her. The victim started to defend herself and the suspect ripped the victim’s fanny pack off of her and he fled. The suspect fled running southbound off the school property. The fanny pack contained miscellaneous personal items.
The struggle resulted with abrasions to the victim’s body.
Lt. Brandt said, “This case is being actively investigated and we are looking for the public’s assistance with any information that could help us in this investigation.”
San Leandro Special Victims Unit is investigating the incident.
