The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Bergen County through Friday evening (6-22)
Temperatures are expected to climb over 90 degrees; humidity will make it feel closer to 100 degrees.
It is highly recommended that one remains indoors from 11:00 am -3:00 pm when the sun is at its strongest and burns and heat strokes are more likely to occur. Everyone is at risk for heat stroke and please remember NEVER to leave a child or pet in a parked vehicle. Also remember to lock all vehicles so children cannot accidentally lock themselves in while playing.
The Bergenfield Senior Center, 239 Murray Terrace, will be available as a Cooling Center from the time the temperature reaches 90 degrees until 7 p.m. Call 201-387-7212 for additional information.
