Driver Arrested for DUI Drugs After Causing Collision
At approximately 4:14pm, Petaluma Police 911 Dispatchers received reports that a gold Kia Optima driven by Emily Allen, age 32, from Petaluma had collided into the back of silver Honda pilot being driven by Teresa Debois, age 56, from Petaluma. The collision occurred at the intersection of Washington Street at Howard Street in the WB left turn lane.
Upon arrival officers noticed that Allen was under the influence of a controlled substance. A DUI investigation revealed she was driving under the influence of prescription drugs. Allen was subsequently arrested for DUI and possession of prescription drugs without a prescription. She was booked into Sonoma County Jail with bail set at $10,000. Nobody was injured in the collision.
