DETAILS:
Suspect: Black male adult, 6”03 tall and 180lbs, wearing dark clothing armed with a handgun.
On 06-17-12 approximately 12:30AM, the San Leandro Police Department responded to the 700 block of Castro regarding two subjects that had been robbed and kidnapped. Both subjects were found by an area resident in a vehicle with their hands tied behind their back. Officers learned that the two male victims ages 27 and 25 pulled into a parking lot at 2600 San Leandro Blvd. As the victims were exiting the vehicle they were approached by the suspect who forced them back in their vehicle and threatened to shoot them. The suspect made the victims drive him to an ATM in the 1200 block of Marina and forced one of the victim’s to withdraw cash from the ATM machine. The suspect had the victims drive to the 700 block of Castro where he tied the victims’ hands behind their backs and fled the area on foot with the loss (approximately $500.00 in cash). The victims were able to honk the vehicles horn until they were found by the area resident.
Lt. Tudor said “This was a very bold crime and we are asking the public assistance with any for any information regarding this case”.
